Bladder Syndromes

1. Damp Heat in the Bladder

2. Damp Cold in the Bladder

Because the Bladders role is to receive waste products it is particularly prone to 'invasion' by pathogenic factors. There are only two distinct Bladder syndromes and these are:

1. Damp Heat in the Bladder

If Damp and Heat invade the Bladder there will be burning pain on urination, from the heat and profuse urination, from the damp. The urine may be turbid or dark yellow and have a strong smell. It may be difficult to pass water. There may also be fever and thirst.

 

2. Damp Cold in the Bladder

In this syndrome there will again be profuse and urgent need to urinate, and a certain amount of difficulty urinating. However, this will be accompanied by a heavy, bearing down sensation in the Bladder area and the urine will be pale or turbid.
